Perspectives
From my perspective, this study highlights how resilient teachers were during an unprecedented crisis. Despite having little preparation, many adapted quickly, experimented with digital tools, and continued teaching under very challenging circumstances. What struck me most is that the challenges teachers faced — lack of training, unequal access to technology, and difficulties in keeping students motivated — are not just temporary “COVID-19 problems.” They reveal deeper structural issues in education systems. I believe this research is critical because it shows that if we want online education to succeed in the future, we cannot rely on teachers’ improvisation alone. We need better infrastructure, more systematic training, and policies that ensure no student is left behind due to a lack of resources. For me, the big takeaway is clear: COVID-19 forced schools into digital education, but it also gave us a roadmap for how to make online and hybrid models more inclusive and sustainable in the long term.
