What is it about?

This paper deals with the consequences of cultural eutrophication and unconventional solutions for shallow lake restoration. There are numerous restoration strategies, but is there unique receipt? The potential solution has to be based on all key elements that define existing problems, which is in this case: quality and quantity of deposited sediment; effluent quality; desired lake water quality.

Perspectives

This article is a result of a collaborations with my colleagues and co-authors with whom I had a pleasure and privilege of working over past years. We tried to show that it is possible to resolve several problems (improve water quality and deal with deposited sediment), by applying technologies that lean on natural processes.
