What is it about?

A weekly operational planning model for a run-off river system in Tamil Nadu India namely Tambiraparani has been developed using a simulation model. The river acts as a main canal and there is huge loss.gain during the operational period. This is taken into consideration for planning and this has improved the water availability in the tail end. The result shows that much more area could be brought to irrigation.
