What is it about?

Why is it important?
Although constructed wetlands are seen as a simple technology, some design criteria are crucial in order to obtain the expected results, in this case for pathogen removal.
Perspectives
Waterborne diseases are common in developing countries because of the discharges of wastewater without treatment. The use of CWs for the removal of paghogens could help to decrease this problem.
