Water pans are surface water sources used for domestic water purposes.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that water pans are susceptible to microbial contaminants. However, water pan water quality can be improved through water pan protection and household water treatment before use(cooking and drinking).We have shown the microbial contamination of the water pan water through point and non-point sources of pollution.
