What is it about?
SDRain, a statistical tool based on a graphic user interface (GUI) environment, allows the user to synthesize easily daily time series with respect to climate change scenarios. The generated results would be used for assessing climate change impacts on water resource management, planning, and/or policymaking.

Why is it important?
Recently, climate change impacts on precipitation have been recognized as one of the most critical issues for water management in many regions around the world. It is hence important for describing accurately the impacts on water resources. However, because the assessment works require much background knowledge about climate and modeling processes, it is hard for non-experts to generate daily time series. The suggested tool gives non-experts the opportunity to generate future climate conditions.
