What is it about?
With the controversial approval of an extended-release formulation of the opioid analgesic hydrocodone by the FDA, many clinicians were hesitant about prescribing the various formulations with and without an abuse deterrent. Issues surrounding the appropriate use of extended-release hydrocodone are discussed in this manuscript.
