What is it about?

HIV/AIDS stigma includes three types: internalized stigma, personal stigma and occupational stigma among HIV patients, non-HIV patients and healthcare providers respectively. We developed three scales to measure three kinds of stigma from different perspectives in the same healthcare settings. This made comprehensively measurement of HIV/AIDS stigma possible.

Why is it important?

Our findings showed that the validity and reliability of HIV/AIDS stigmas` scales are valid. Thus, they can be used to measure HIV/AIDS stigmas based on different population in healthcare setting in order to eliminate stigma.
