What is it about?

Assessment and comparison of the lymphatic flow in the arm after breast cancer surgery and axillary lymph node dissection versus sentinel lymph node biopsy using lymphoscintigraphy

Featured Image

Why is it important?

Our findings showed that in the axillary lymph node dissection group in early postoperative breast surgery, the lymphatic damage redirected the lymphatic flow to alternative routes, improving therapy and strategies for the prevention of lymphedema

Perspectives

I hope that this kowledge about lymphatic flow in patients with early postoperative breast surgery can improve therapy and strategies for the prevention of lymphedema
