These recommendations could potentially minimize the variability in practice patterns and help adopt optimal approach for cataract patients with astigmatism in order to improve visual results and patient satisfaction.
Perspectives
Participating in this work and article was a very rich experience for me because of the thorough discussions in multiple rounds with leading doctors in the field of refractive cataract surgery. We shared not only our experience but had to check a lot of papers in order to have the best evidence based knowledge regarding this subject. I hope the reader can find this article useful in its daily practice when approaching this patients.
