What is it about?

A proposed diagnostic model for detection of neuroretinal degeneration in early diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy

Featured Image

Why is it important?

Conventional imaging techniques are not always helpful in detecting the early stage of diabetic retinopathy. The current method will help us in detecting the early stage targeting the neuroretinal degeneration during diabetic retinopathy disease progression. Thus, this diagnostic model could be used as a novel method for prognosis of diabetic retinopathy before the appearance of first morphological symptoms of this debilitating complication.

Perspectives

We hope this article would be helpful for understanding the early stage of diabetic retinopathy with a major emphasis on neuroretinal degeneration.
