What is it about?

We did a comparative and subjective analysis of patient satisfaction and the difficulties with bilateral diffractive aspheric multifocal and monofocal intraocular lenses.

Why is it important?

Monovision can provide distance and near visual acuity that is comparable to multifocal lenses but more favorable with regard to distance vision and causes fewer photic symptoms.

Perspectives

Both lenses have shown satisfactory results and are well suited for patients who desire good visual acuity at different distances without the need to wear glasses.
