Why is it important?

We provides novel and important data with regard to the correlation between residual stromal bed thickness and the regression of myopia after LASIK in the long-term examinations. The present study is an indication of the limit of refractive surgical volume of myopia by LASIK, so as maintain good uncorrected visual acuity after LASIK when compared with another kind of refractive surgery (e.g. ICL).

Perspectives

Prospective and more sophisticated investigations concerning regression of myopia after LASIK will improve and clarify the results of the present study.
