Contraception and Endometriosis
What is it about?
Endometriosis is a complex and challenging disease which commonly causes chronic pelvic pain and infertility. Women with this condition need careful, individual guidance on which are their best options for contraception, and how those options may also benefit management (and prevention of worsening) of her condition. Protection of fertility and prevention of recurrence of disease are important parts of the management of endometriosis.
Why is it important?
There is no other specific publication which covers the important relationships between pelvic pain, infertility, contraception and the several ways in which medical and surgical management can be combined to manage endometriosis
