What is it about?
Guanfacine XR is a novel non-stimulant medication for treating children and adolescents with ADHD, with a distinct mechanism of action. It has the particularity that is has not only proven to be useful a treatment on its own, but also as an add-on pharmacotherapy to stimulants and has been shown to be efficacious as well for patients with ADHD and comorbid conduct disorder.
