What is it about?

Nowadays, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is an important "epidemic" disease which presents relevant cost for public health policies. The authors try to expose an interesting approach in which objective is to change this scenario. Transcranial LED acts though cytochrome c oxidase, a mitochondrial enzyme, promoting synaptogenesis and neurogenesis.

Perspectives

Randomized clinical trials are needed to test its real effects, but what we have so far is promising.
