What is it about?

The effectiveness of articaine infiltration in the mandible. There is a suspicion that when the facial cortical mandibular bone is 2mm or greater thick then a facial infiltration may not succeed in locally anesthetizing the adjacent tooth. An additional full carpule may be needed or an intra-osseous inject may provide adequate anesthesia.

Why is it important?

Perspectives
