What is it about?
This is a cross-sectional population-based study, trying to make clear the epidemiology of pain in an area in the center of Italy.

Why is it important?
There are many data on the epidemiology of pain, but cross-sectional population-based study are very rare. In general, the previous researches have investigate on specific population, eg elderly people.
Perspectives
We do believe this study may be very useful for researchers willing to know more on the real epidemiology of an important chronic disease (pain), and interested to a more conscious approach to Pain Patients.
