What is it about?

Endometrial ablation is a common method of reducing heavy menstrual bleeding in female patients. This study compares patient satisfaction with their outcome using two different methods of performing this procedure, Minerva or Novasure.

Why is it important?

This is a comparison trial between these two methods and shows patient perception of their outcome related to persistent or heavy vaginal bleeding.

Perspectives

This trial is based on patients perception of their outcome, not influenced by physician or investigator. They freely expressed their satisfaction with their outcome, which we collated and published. This trial is unique as patients had an extended period of time to see how they felt about their procedure and how it affected their daily living.
