Why is it important?

diabetes is associated with longterm micro-vascular and macro-vascular complications. In-spite of treatment with available drugs the long term complications still occur making the life of the patients miserable. Garlic contains a variety of effective compounds, such as allicin, a sulfur-containing compound that exhibits anticoagulant, antithrombotic, antioxidant, hypocholesterolemic, hypoglycemic, and hypo-tensive activities. Thus addition of the both the agents can prevent such complications when taken together.

Perspectives

writing this article will help the patients of type 2 diabetes with obesity in terms of preventing complications. This will also decrease the long term expenditure of the patients by reducing the complications. This will also embark the research in this direction in such patients as with some modification in active compounds of garlic new drugs can be invented
