What is it about?
Mitragynine is an active compound in Kratom plant which is considered as narcotics. This is the first pharmacokinetic study of this compound after the administration of the extract orally.

Why is it important?
The pharmacokinetic parameters from clinical study can use to predict the fate of the mitragynine in human which is useful for intoxification. Moreover, it may be worth in the near future to do the purification of active compounds in extract as new medicines.
Perspectives
We are focusing on extract and purify those active compounds in Kratom extract as an potent analgesic drug. The study is in progress.
