What is it about?
Instillation therapy, when added to negative pressure therapy, provides superior local wound cleansing which leads to faster , more effective healing of most complex wounds.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that the effects noted by this mode of therapy, improve patient outcomes and have been shown to decrease total cost of care.
Perspectives
This article is written in the hope of providing useful insight and techniques to those who take care of patients with difficult wounds. Our hope is that this leads to a better understanding of the biology of these types of wounds and , ultimately, to improved patient care.
