Why is it important?
The main problem of unsedated colonoscopy is the abdominal discomfort during examination although it has many benefits: low cost, patient can go to work soon after examination, no escort, patients can see their colon through TV monitor and communicate with their endoscopists during examination. This study was designed to lower the abdominal discomfort score during unsedated water method colonoscopy examination
Perspectives
This study is our second research (the third study is underway) about water-method colonoscopy and I hope it will encourage endoscopists around the world , especially in developing countries, to perform unsedated water method colonoscopy based on its benefits
