The break up times measured with oculus K5M are not comparable to those by the Tomey RT5000.

Why is it important?

DEWS2 encouraged the use of non-invasive break up time evaluation for the diagnosis of dry eye. However, there is not much done in terms of the comparison of various methods that evaluate these break up times.

Perspectives

The measurements of the two commercial instruments are not interchangeable. Which instrument becomes more popular and more universally used remains to be seen.
