What is it about?

Wearable cardioverter defibrillators (WCD) can save lives of people under the risk of sudden cardiac arrest. A Health Technology Assessment (HTA) evaluated WCD concerning its efficacy, effectiveness, safety, and patient perspectives. However, the authors' methodology consists of several limitations that have not been appropriately addressed in their article. The authors’ conclusions are not supported by their findings and therefore, should be interpreted with caution. The critical appraisal is about pointing out the study limitations to the readers.
