What is it about?
The application of Nanoparticles as a novel drug delivery system improves the poor pharmacokinetic currently facing conventional drugs and herb-derived compounds for cancer therapy, however, the impact of nanoparticles on pharmacokinetic parameters has not yet been reviewed. This systematic review aims to examine the pharmacokinetic studies of nanoparticles loaded with herb-derived compounds and conventional chemotherapeutic drugs for cancer therapy.

Why is it important?
The use of nanoparticle as a novel drug delivery system has the potential to improve both pharmacokinetic and cytotoxicity of the loaded chemotherapeutic drugs and herb-derived compounds for cancer therapy.
Perspectives
I hope this systematic review will shed a light on the impact of nanoparticles on the pharmacokinetics of conventional and herb-derived compounds for cancer therapy, to yield desired therapeutic outcome with less toxicity.
