Performance of the Jibon Bima Corporation of Bangladesh

What is it about?

Although the analysis of performance of IBC shows a gradual upward trend of various indicators like profits and profitability, value added, Iife funds, premium income and income from investment - fundamental analysis reveals that overall profitability of JBC during the years under review is not satisfactory. Hence, this study attempts to evaluate the performance of Jiban Bima Corporation [BC), the only nationalized life insurance company of Bangladesh, by analyzing the trend of few selective indicators and fundamentals over a period of twenty years (1979-1998).
