Why the United States Needs its Loyal Alliances: Whether Alliances are Regarded Strategic or Understated

Why is it important?

It is becoming evident that many trade brands and favorites are partly dependent on overseas assembly ports and that the imposition of tariff hikes could also indirectly impact domestic producers and manufacturers - and particularly those with very thin profit margins.

Perspectives

The importance of strategic alliances has never been demonstrated as evidently as is currently the case. The ongoing trade wars between major economies and alliances is not only influencing and impacting global growth rate forecasts, but also drawing certain economies together. It is also becoming evident that many trade brands and favorites are partly dependent on overseas assembly ports and that the imposition of tariff hikes could also indirectly impact domestic producers and manufacturers - and particularly those with very thin profit margins. Whilst domestic policies and security measures need to be considered, there also needs to be a balance in trade policy evaluation in cases where trade offs fail to realise intended income gains from trade. Moreover, alliances are also becoming increasingly important giving increasing focus on matters such as climate change and sustainable development and even if this may not constitute a priority at the moment, its popularity and significant in diplomatic relations is also a factor which may draw certain economies closer in their goals and objectives.
