Developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (Hots) in Cognitive Domain of Learning

Organizations have gradually begun to realize that improving technology and cutting cost improve performance only up to a point. To move beyond this point, the organization’s people are its most important resource. As that realization has come about, the importance of people skills has increased and the role of human resource managers has changed and their impact on their organization increased. Organizations are experimenting with people skills to improve performance and productivity in a variety of ways. One of the strategies of human resource development is to revisit Bloom’s Taxonomy of domains of learning and focus on the development of intellect. This paper discusses in depth some issues and concerns regarding enhancing of higher learning thinking skills (HOTS ) in people.
