This case report presents the technical difficulties in performing a hip replacement in a patient with Pyknodysostosis and how to overcome them in order to achieve good long term outcomes for a cemented THR.

Perspectives

There are a few learning points in this paper especially with regard to anticipation of problems dealing with a hard brittle bone in performing a THR and how to overcome them with preop and intra op planning.
