What is it about?
The Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) states “The need for accuracy at this level cannot be overstated: one major error or omission giving false information could have disastrous repercussions in a real-life situation” (CIOL, 2017: 19). This is more than true in the financial services industry, where authors and translators often work under pressure, which carries its own pitfalls and potential major consequences of errors. Hence the importance of controls performed on the translation and source text product at all levels, notwithstanding time, author, and production chain constraints
