What is it about?
Many individuals spend long periods of time sitting at a computer work station. Nurses (or any other employee) who work in an outpatient setting (or other sedentary job) are required to spend long hours at a computer or on the phone. As a result, these nurses may suffer from musculoskeletal problems from continual keyboarding and static posture. Furthermore, prolonged sitting may lead to chronic disease or a life threatening illness. This paper offers a simple and effective program that breaks up sitting and as a result, reduces the harmful effects of sitting.
