What is it about?

During development, the pro-larva uses the energy from the yolk contained inside the yolk-sac. The consumption of the yolk depends on many factors like water temperature, water current, shelter, silts, etc., however, it basically depends on water temperature. So, if water temperature is less then hatching occurs after many days maintaining more survival and if the water temperature is more then hatching occurs after few days owing to less survival.

Why is it important?

The water temperature seems to be the most important factor in terms of conversion of pro-larva into larva along with its survival. Therefore, it is better to keep attention for the same so that better survival can be achieved.
