Through my research, I was able to get a better understanding of the challenges faced by small businesses in government contracts. Organizations can learn from these businesses to enhance their own.

Perspectives
I have worked with the Department of Energy for over 20 years managing federal contracts. Some companies have gone out of business because they did not understand the federal process. This case study addresses how small businesses can improve their survival and success rate in the public sector with a strategic approach to their operations. The application of these conclusions could increase the survival rate of small businesses operating in an unstable public environment.
