What is it about?
Assessment of the relationship between the concentration of particulate matter of less than 10 μm in diameter (PM10) in air and the effect of psychrophilic, mesophilic bacteria and mould fungi on the number of new cases of type 1 diabetes mellitus in children and adolescents in the Lubelskie Voivodeship in the years 2015-2016.

Our preliminary results confirm the link—not yet fully understood—between air pollution and the risk of type 1 diabetes in children and adolescents.
