An evaluation of ICT framework implementation in Jigawa State using CIPP Evaluation Model

What is it about?

In the new global economy, ICT has become a major source of revenue, effective administration, security, health and quality education. This is the reason Jigawa state government identified it as one of the source of financing its budget.

Why is it important?

Despite the identification of ICT as one of the main sources of financing budget in the state. No single kobo was generated in the state through ICT between 2005 to 2020. Thus, the researcher deem it pertinent to apply CIPP evaluation model to assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of ICT framework in the state, and identify the areas were they require urgent attention. Based on the finding of the study the following recommendation were put forward to the state government, that the implementation of ICT framework in the state should be review in order to meet the set target and a trained and professional ICT expert should be employ in the agency to guide the implementation and achievement of the set target.
