Pregnancy is a very delicate period. We have demonstrated that eating of clay which is common among pregnant women during the first 6 months of pregnancy can affect both the mother and the unborn child

Our finding show that clay consumption during pregnancy should be avoided, and if necessary should be taken with caution

Perspectives

This article exposed my doctoral fellows to experiments in humans. It is amazing exploring a very common traditional habit among pregnant women
