What is it about?

Switching to renewable energy sources like solar and wind power can enhance electricity reliability and protect the environment. However, because these sources aren't consistent, we need guidelines for designing and using them effectively. Hybrid systems that combine different renewable sources can be a great solution, especially for places like the University of Skikda in Algeria. This study explores the financial feasibility of such a system, which would power multiple university campuses independently. Using HOMER software, the study optimizes and simulates the proposed system. The results suggest a combination of wind turbines, solar panels, and batteries would be the best choice.
