What is it about?
This paper details the efforts of the University of Alaska Fairbanks in utilizing 3D printing and other rapid prototyping processes to support timely design and fabrication of UAS assets supporting scientific research and public service missions. It also describes how this technology supports UAS missions accomplished by UAF's Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration (ACUASI), as well as detailing how students are involved via academic courses, design projects, and clubs.
