Why is it important?
It gives a qualitative information, much of it in people's own words, about challenges being faced by women suffering the pain of obstetric fistula. It also helps those interested in designing strategies for rehabilitating these women.
Perspectives
Participating in the whole research process alongside Ms. Shallon Atuhaire and others was an exciting but very revelatory moment. Having been my first time of involvement in research with such kind of mothers, I now can become a better advocate of the mothers facing obstetric fistula condition.
