What is it about?
Information on intermolecular interactions expands our understanding of functional relationships at all levels of living cells . Most cellular proteins function as part of various molecular complexes, the formation of which occurs due to protein-protein interactions (PPIs). Conceptualization of original experimental platform for studying PPIs is described in the paper.

Why is it important?
Knowledge of the spectrum of protein neibours of a clinically significant protein is necessary to clarify its regulation profile. This helps to predict early patologic alterations at the molecular level when disease-associated protein interactions are triggered.
Perspectives
Identification of previously unknown neibouring proteins surround the clinically relevant protein is of great importance to select PPIs for the development of next-generation drugs targeted to contact area of such interactions.
