What is it about?

This article explores fostering confidence in building child-friendlycities collaboratively in an emerging industrial landscape. Researchproblems are caused by the impact of the growth of new industrialsocieties, differences and conflicts of interest between stakeholders,child growth and development problems, high stunting, juveniledelinquency, street children, and parenting patterns that are not asneeded. This study aims to elaborate and analyze how to foster trust inbuilding child-friendly cities. Qualitative research methods andresearch data were collected through in-depth interviews and focusgroup discussions (FGDs). The results show that fostering trust inbuilding child-friendly cities collaboratively is faced with differinginterest gaps, resulting in distrust and a lack of commitment tobuilding child-friendly cities. Communication spaces or joint forumsamong stakeholders in child-friendly campaign efforts have beenorganized but have not shown effective activities. The government,industry, and society do not have good communication space forsustainably building decent children. Recommendations for fosteringconfidence in designing a sustainable child-friendly city require aforum and a culture of good communication between the government,community, and industry that a child-friendly city is a common needand interest. In addition, the new industry has a social responsibility tobuild a dynamic child-friendly city.
