What is it about?
In this study, occupational health and safety (OHS) training and the effects of OHS training on environmental health awareness of associate degree program students’ were investigated. For this, Medical Secretary and Veterinary Health Programs, freshmen and second year student selected from Atatürk University, Narman Vocational School. The data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 23 questions carried out to 40 students for each program, 160 students in total. The results were examined and evaluated each of two program students’ approaches about occupational health, safety and environmental health. The study results were statistically analyzed using SPSS 20 package program. In this sense, students’ occupational health and safety information, and their awareness levels in creating eco-friendly work places were evaluated. As a result, it was determined that even though at low level, getting training in occupational health and safety contributes to increase awareness of students’ occupational health and safety and environmental health.
