What is it about?

Now in world production of shaped exact casting application of the special ways of casting (SWC) takes the leading place. From a large number of SSL in world practice a specific place is held by the casting under pressure (CUP). Advantages of LPD are well-known and don't demand special comments. It is necessary to distinguish especially following from a large number of advantages: LPD is the most productive way of casting allowing to receive quality castings with a difficult configuration of an external surface and with the highest efficiency of material (to 99,5%). However in some cases producers of castings should face low indicators of quality of a surface of the received castings, doing economically inefficient use of the LPD method. Traditionally used way of improvement of quality of castings is connected with application expensive the slozhnolegirovannykh staly in a combination with various options of chemical heat treatment of details of compression molds, as the least expensive of which nitriding acts. He widely is implemented for LPD of aluminum and copper alloys, however demands an alternative in case it is about zinc alloys with significantly smaller temperatures of melting. In this regard this article is directed to the solution of an urgent problem of insufficient quality of a surface of castings of the zinc alloys received by the LPD method drawing multilayered coverings on form-building surfaces of compression molds by method of the cathodic and ion bombing (CIB). Results of pilot studies on the basis of which comparison of various options of structures of coverings from the point of view of a roughness of a surface of the received castings is carried out are given, and also the equation for forecasting of a roughness of the received castings depending on parameters of the put covering is given.
