What is it about?

In the Philippines, breastfeeding is promoted with Republic Act No. 10028 or the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009 with the creation of enabling environment for continued breastfeeding even at work or in public places. This study assessed its implementation among partner-implementers at the national level.

With the law considered as a key policy instrument, it is important to assess its implementation in order to address lapses and weaknesses in the short term and improve breastfeeding practice in the long term.
