What is it about?
Popular research fora viz. ResearchGate, Academia, Mendeley, Kudos and Publons were considered. As per our analysis these interactive fora help in breaking the geographical, economical and institutional barriers in sharing the research knowledge among peer groups. But they also add to information pollution as they create room for false claiming. If these bottlenecks are removed, the interactive fora can bring paradigm shifts in global research output to the next level.

Why is it important?
Because of covid pandemic, research scholars are confined to a corner hooked with internet and disconnected from conventional mentoring. Now the interactive forma as surrogate research guide helps thro peer group interaction. If the human resource are digitally mismanaged with wrong guidance that will endanger research ethics. Interactive fora should keep vigilance on it.
Perspectives
Addressing to the problem, the authors proposed an improved interactive platform “Scholarly Needs” by which the motivated research scholars can be identified for their original contribution, ranked and showcased for their talent.
