What is it about?
This paper discusses how exposure to poor input can lead to errors in the acquisition of a language. This is looked at through the prism of grammatical accents in French. The paper highlights the link that exists between the errors learners of French as a foreign language make and their learning environment.

Why is it important?
French grammatical accents can be troublesome to learners of French as a second or foreign language because they are related to orthography. A good mastery of this aspect of French could tremendously alleviate the difficulty faced by learners of this language (both as a first and a second/foreign language.
