What is it about?

It is about reflections concerning the missconceptions on sexual abuse and sexuality. Here I identify prejudices and stereotypes which normally emerge from society and potentially turn not only victims but even interveners into confusion. In this work it is underlined the responsibility of the agressor and emphasized the value of respect to the victims

Why is it important?

To take place in a real and objective sense the problem of sexuality just avoiding stereotypes and missconceptions about the sexual abuse and its consequences over the victims

Perspectives

I propose these reflections in order to contribute to a serious and clear understanding about what sexual abuse is and what are the prejudices arround this social problem. From my experience as an victimology intervener I think it is very important, people who works in the victimology field take into account that the effects of the trauma could be crossed by presumptions which not lead the victimology interventions into what these really should be in order to promote the vctims rehabilitation.
