What is it about?
This was a scoping review of disability policies in selected Southern African countries (Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe) in comparison to the National Policy on Disability of Namibia. The UNCRPD was used as a yard stick and the Disability Policy Lens was used for the analysis.

Salient occupational justice issues were discovered and recommendations to redress the situation were provided.
Perspectives
There is a huge potential for the betterment of the lives of persons with disabilities in Southern Africa through policy cycle reforms reforms. Low cost-high impact strategies are feasible in these settings.
