What is it about?
This research examines dispute resolution cultures of various indigenous people including Phillipine islands. We find that most of native peoples resolve disputes based on restorative justice. In other words, they share common elements of restorative justice regardless of location and ethnicity.

Today, litigation demands too much time and money. In this sense, it is menaingful to vindicate the primitive framework of dispute resolution. We find that primitive societies share common elements of restorative justice.
Perspectives
Southeast Asian countries contain various indigenous people in this region. Their territories contain valuable resources, Inevitably, there will be encounters between indigeonous people and people from industrial society. This research show a pattern of dispute resolution in remote areas.
